Casa Carrillo Encore

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo has been in the cigar business for decades working first for his father, eventually taking over that business, and then with General Cigar. He created Casa Carrillo Cigar Co. in 2009 with his children and has blended some very successful cigars since, but the Encore by Casa Carrillo may be his finest yet. The soft box-pressed Encore is a Nicaraguan puro perfectly hand rolled in Ernesto's own factory in the Dominican Republic with tobaccos from the Condega, Esteli, and Jalapa regions. The full-bodied Encore is rich, complex, and flavorful with nuanced notes ranging from oak to sweet cream with pop-ins of citrus, spice, and pepper. It comes as no surprise that the Encore was awarded Cigar Aficionado's highest honor in 2018 ~ Cigar of the Year.
