Erik pays tribute to the Stokkebye heritage with the creation of these blends, 4 of which are named after each of the Stokkebye patriarch's birth year and a 5th representing the year in which the Stokkebye family business began. Each blend reflects unique personalities and blend preferences beginning with great grandfather Erik Peter, who founded the family business in Denmark. Balkan Sasieni Original Formula Pipe Tobacco Mixture was created by London's Master of Tobacco Blenders decades ago with the choicest Macedonia and Latakia leaf and rich Virginias. Now blended by Scandinavian Tobacco Group in Denmark, Balkan Sasieni is nearly identical with its artful blending of ribbon cut Macedonia Orientals, pungent Latakia, and base of golden and red Virginias producing a medium strength, subtly complex smoking experience with rich, full tobacco taste.

This Balkan Sobranie pipe tobacco is a reintroduction of the legendary original recipe made famous by the House of Sobranie and now produced in the Esoterica Tobacciana factory. Blended and aged in the British Isles, Balkan Sobranie Original Smoking Mixture is comprised primarily of Latakia with a mixture of Orientals, Virginias, and other fine tobaccos for a bold, earthy smoking experience with notes of spice and a mild sweetness.

The name Borkum Riff was once only associated with the lightship 'Borkum Riff' that had a lighthouse onboard and sailed the North Sea off the Dutch coast showing other ships the way. Since Borkum Riff pipe tobacco was introduced in 1962, however, it quickly surpassed its namesake in notoriety. Borkum Riff's Bourbon Whiskey recipe is a loose cut mixture of 35% Black Cavendish from Africa, Europe and the Philippines blended with 65% Virginias from Brazil and Africa. Genuine Kentucky bourbon whiskey is added to create a distinctive taste and pleasant aroma. This blend is best sipped slowly to enjoy the smooth flavor and avoid tongue bite.

CAO has taken the flavors contained in their best-selling Flavours by CAO cigars and cigarillos and made them available for pipe smokers using high grade Virginias and black Cavendish (depending on the blend). This premium aromatic pipe tobacco is made in Denmark by Scandinavian Tobacco Group exclusively for CAO.

Navy De Luxe is blended with high grade, full-bodied Virginias from North Carolina and Virginia and Louisiana Perique. Pressed and matured before it is spun and cut into coins, Navy De Luxe is complex, smooth, and flavorful with a naturally sweet tobacco flavor and mild pepperiness. Germain and Son exclusively for Butera Pipe Company using only the finest quality whole leaf and traditional production techniques to produce their amazing pipe tobacco blends. Entirely made, blended, and aged in the UK British Isles, Esoterica pipe tobaccos are considered among the finest blends in the world.

J.F. Germain & Son began manufacturing tobacco in 1820 under ideal climatic conditions on the island of Jersey in the British Isles and has played an important economic role there for more than 180 years with its remarkably successful, multi-generational family business. The reconstructed factory is situated on the site of the original premises facing the harbor of St. Helier where Jersey-built schooners once sailed to many parts of the world in search of high grade leaf tobacco for Germain's factory.

John Middleton's first tobacco shop was established in 1856, located across the way from the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and a "short haul" from the city's busy waterfront. Ships' captains, their crews, stockbrokers, and students from the University of Pennsylvania all learned in those days that they could depend on this young merchant's recommendations. Aromatic (Flavored) Pipe Tobacco Blends
Milan's aromatic tobaccos are lightly topped with a natural flavoring that provides both aroma (room note) and flavor when smoked. This casing may make the tobacco more moist than a non-aromatic blend. Some pipe smokers will set a portion out to dry a bit, while others will take the higher moisture content into account when packing the pipe.

English Pipe Tobacco Blends
Milan Tobacconists' English blends incorporate Latakia with Virginia, Burley, Turkish, Oriental, and Perique tobaccos to provide a more rich and complex smoking experience. The room note is smoky and peppery.

Non-Aromatic Pipe Tobacco Blends
Our non-aromatic tobaccos are blended with a focus toward the natural tobacco flavors rather than added flavoring. The unsmoked tobacco and room note from these non-aromatics typically offer earthy scents like hay, spice, grasses, and wood.

L. Orlik Ltd. was founded as a pipe manufacturer in 1899 by Louis Orlik in London, England. The company used the slogan "Smoked by All Shrewd Judges" along with the image of a judge smoking an Orlik pipe in its marketing material, both of which are still displayed today on Orlik's tins of pipe tobacco. The Orlik Tobacco Company A/S is now under the umbrella of the world's largest pipe tobacco manufacturer - Scandinavian Tobacco Group, which is headquartered in Denmark with facilities across the globe.
